PC hardware and gaming news for 10 September 2026: GeForce drivers, USB4, Valheim 1.0 and No Man’s Sky Cosmos, plus relevant Pixlboard GPU and SSD picks.

The updates shaping your next PC build and gaming session

A good PC setup serves both the workday and the games that follow. Today’s roundup brings together fresh graphics-driver support, a newly announced USB4 hub, practical storage choices and major game updates. Here is what matters on 10 September 2026, with official sources and links to relevant products in Pixlboard’s catalogue. Announced dates below are kept separate from confirmed releases.

GeForce 616.92 puts new games and rendering updates on the calendar

NVIDIA’s 9 September announcement introduces the GeForce Game Ready 616.92 WHQL driver. It prepares for WARDOGS entering Early Access on 10 September and PUBG’s scheduled DLSS Super Resolution update the same day. The company also schedules path tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction for 007 First Light on 15 September.

For PC owners, software support is part of the hardware decision. Check the exact game, GPU and supported rendering options before expecting a feature to appear. A driver announcement alone does not establish the frame rate your complete system will deliver.

Comparing current graphics cards? Pixlboard lists the Colorful RTX 5070 Gaming 12GB GDDR7. Its listing specifies a 300 mm card length and one 16-pin power connector, so check cabinet clearance and power-supply connections alongside the GPU specification.

Computer hardware watch: OWC announces a new USB4 hub

OWC’s 9 September hardware announcement adds a USB4 hub to its connectivity lineup. The stated specification includes up to 40 Gb/s of total bandwidth, two downstream USB4 ports, two 10 Gb/s USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1 and up to 81 W of laptop charging.

This is upcoming hardware: OWC plans general availability at the end of October. It has not established an Indian price or Pixlboard availability. For a laptop desk setup, the practical check is whether your host computer supports the connections and display configuration you plan to use. The headline bandwidth is a total, not a separate 40 Gb/s promise for every attached device.

Storage choices for a computer that works and plays

Keeping a growing game library beside work files makes capacity worth considering alongside transfer speed. For an internal desktop or laptop upgrade, Pixlboard’s WD Blue SN5100 2TB Gen4 SSD combines 2 TB of storage with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. The Crucial P510 1TB Gen5 SSD offers a different balance: 1 TB capacity and PCIe 5.0 x4.

Both are M.2 2280 internal drives. Compare your motherboard or laptop’s supported slot, available space and cooling requirements before choosing. The linked P510 version has no factory-fitted heatsink, and reaching its full Gen5 performance requires a compatible slot. Sequential transfer ratings are not a guarantee of proportional gains in game loading times.

Valheim 1.0 opens the Deep North

Iron Gate announced Valheim 1.0 on 9 September. The Deep North biome leads the update, alongside 40+ weapons, four armour sets, 80+ building pieces and achievements. A new draw-distance setting also joins the graphics options. For a group looking for another co-op project, the extra building content is an especially appealing reason to return.

Returning players should check their worlds before setting out. Iron Gate’s FAQ says existing saves remain usable, but new biome generation works properly in previously unexplored areas. The studio recommends starting fresh for the best experience. Existing owners receive the update without buying the game again, while mod compatibility is not guaranteed. Back up your saves and check your mod authors’ updates before restarting a long-running server.

No Man’s Sky Cosmos makes space a place to call home

No Man’s Sky’s Cosmos update, version 7.0, puts construction and community at the centre of space exploration. Hello Games’ official notes describe space-station directorship, player alliances and free-floating orbital bases. A new star-system map helps players find points of interest, while derelict hulks offer salvage with the risk of structural collapse.

In his 9 September announcement, Hello Games founder Sean Murray confirmed Cosmos was live on PS5 and free for existing PlayStation players. The broader update page also lists a Twitch Drops window from 10–14 September. Follow its official account-linking and viewing instructions if you want those rewards.

Pixlboard’s take: station design and orbital construction make this a particularly interesting update for players who enjoy building spaces as much as exploring them. Choose a project with friends before disappearing into another evening of base design.

For Honor Blood Hunt brings Ranked Dominion into focus

Ubisoft has scheduled For Honor’s Year 10 Season 3, Blood Hunt, for 10 September. The headline for competitive players is Dominion joining Duel in a renewed Ranked system. The announcement describes progression from Bronze to Grandmaster, with cosmetic rewards beginning at Gold.

The season also introduces The Keeper of Chains, a Conqueror hero skin. Ubisoft lists a Revenge-decay update and several hero reworks among its planned balance changes; the launch patch notes are the place to check the final details before rebuilding a strategy around them.

Check the game’s update status before arranging a session. Later seasonal events have separate dates: the announced Halloween throwbacks begin in October, rather than with today’s scheduled season launch.

Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show broadcast: 3:30 PM IST on 17 September

Xbox’s 9 September announcement sets its Tokyo Game Show broadcast for Thursday, 17 September at 7 PM in Japan. That converts to 3:30 PM IST on the same day, a convenient afternoon slot for viewers in India. Xbox says the show will include new gameplay and content prepared specifically for TGS.

The announcement also confirms Minecraft Dungeons II on the show floor, ahead of its planned 29 September release and day-one Game Pass availability. That hands-on demo is for attendees in Tokyo; it is not an announcement of a public downloadable demo.

Watch through Xbox’s official channels. The broadcast uses Japanese and English audio, with additional language support, including Hindi, planned afterward. Put the stream on your calendar, but wait for individual game announcements before assuming a platform, release date or Indian price.
